PUAMANA BEACH PARK
On Front Street, this narrow,
tree-lined beach is of medium depth providing good swimming and summer
surfing, picnic tables and paved parking.
LAUNIUPOKO STATE WAYSIDE PARK
Picnic tables, grills, restrooms,
showers and paved parking makes this park exceptional for picnics with
Molokai and Lanai islands clearly visible here. Has a man made pool for
kids fronting beach with shallow sandy bottom.
AWALUA BEACH
Further to the north, closer to
Lahaina is good swimming with sandy bottom and gradual drop-off. A great
place for surfers just starting.
There are no facilities.
OLOW ALU BEACH
Shallow and rocky but deeper areas
near the beach offer good snorkeling and scuba diving on calmer days.
Surfing can be pretty good outside the reef. Access is by Kapaika or
Awalua Roads.
The property between the main highway (no. 30) and beach is
private and should be considered with respect.
