UKUMEHAME BEACH PARK
Has paved parking but no
facilities. Easy access. Water is shallow and rocky. A spot favored by
snorkelers and local fishermen.
PAPALAUA STATE WAYSIDE PARK
Beautiful long stretching beach but
shallow rocky bottom. Beach contains those prickly kiawe but swimming is
good and safe for children. Excellent snorkeling. Picnic tables, barbecue
grills and portable toilets provided.
PAPAWAI POINT LOOKOUT
About 4 km (2.4 miles) north of
Maalaea Harbor we find breathtaking views of the Kihei and Wailea
coastline as well as Mount Haleakala. The bigger island off to the left,
is Kahoolawe and the small island between, is Molokini. To the immediate
right, the island of Lanai. A favorite spot for whale watching.
PUUNOA BEACH
North of Lahaina Town, access is at Mala Wharf. Good surf, fishing.
Beaches and sun are in abundance.
