WAIEHU BEACH PARK
Located a short distance from
Wailuku town center is a perfect picnic spot with
pavilion,
picnic tables and grills. Not a great place for swimming but wonderful to
just relax by the water.
KANAHA BEACH PARK
Just behind the airport, off the
end of Keolani PI. at the eastern tip of Kahului Harbor, this beach area
is shallow for swimming but is generally murky water. Slippers
or runners are recommended for joggers
and beach walking.
WAILUKU and KAHULUI
WAILUKU (Central
Maui)
Wailuku is the working side of Maui
where local life finds itself located at the entrance to legendary lao
Valley.
County and state offices are surrounded by the reminder. of old provincial
Maui Town settled by an exotic mix of peoples and cultures of the South
Pacific.
KAHULUI
The commercial center of Maui.
Kahului is a fascinating area of local economy with 3 large shopping
centers just a short distance from Kahului Airport.
