Exercise 6
Battement Jeté
(Jeté means to stretch)
2 x battement tendu jete devant, 2 x jeté piqué devant.
Switch legs and repeat to the back and to the side.
Finish with 7 x jetés to the First Position.
Repeat from the front with 2 x jetés and 2 x pas de chevals devant,
derriere and á la seconde and finish with 7 x closh.
|
We
have now progressed to the battement jeté en piqué .
With this exercise we are preparing ourselves for the allegro in
the sense that it’s a nice and sharp exercise, still using the
floor pressure.
We finish with a glissé, at a little faster speed to the first.
|
|
This time we’re
using the petite developé as opposed to the piqué which is a
slower unfold of the legs in contrast.
|
|
|
We
finish with the battement closh...
Again hips and pelvis staying nice and still. |
Turn and prepare to do Battement Jeté on the other side. |
