CREDIT REPORT
     Before a Lender or financial institute will let you borrow money you will have to have your personal credit history checked. This can be done for free through regular mail, however, there is a fee if you get your check your credit history online.
    Your credit report is one of the main tools lenders use when they decide whether or not to lend you money as it contains a tremendous amount of personal information about your credit rating.
    There you will find your personal credit history and information such as:
• Name, address, social security or social insurance numbers, employers, date of birth and telephone number.
• It will provide your payment history, including bad loans, bad checks you may have written and late payments. It also shows banking information about your various accounts.
• Of course, public records such as bankruptcy or judgment from a lawsuit will be shown, just as it will show any person/s or organization/s that have enquired about your credit.
    It is important to regularly ensure that your credit report is correct once you start borrowing and have a credit file opened and when you receive your credit report, look closely at the data provided by the credit reporting agency for accuracy.
•  Look closely at the correct mailing address, social security or social insurance number, late payment report, errors in your credit accounts for accuracy. In particular look for any attempts at unauthorized inquiries or signs of identity theft because you have a right to correct any errors your find. the correction process, as well as instructions on ordering your credit report can be found on the credit reporting agencies websites, among others, such as Equifax and TransUnion.
